AMTExecutive Director Christopher Damon to Retire

AMTannounces a change in executive leadership for the association.

Christopher A. Damon, JD, Executive Director of American Medical Technologists (色中色app) for the past 21 years, will retire near the end of 2021. During his years as Executive Director, Damon guided AMTthrough significant growth and change. The number of certified members has almost quadrupled from approximately 26,000 back in 2000. The AMTannual budget grew from $2.1 million to over $9 million today. The AMTstaff numbered 19; now AMThas 48 employees. Among the more significant actions was moving the physical headquarters office from Park Ridge, Illinois, to Rosemont, Illinois to facilitate the association’s growth.

During Damon’s tenure, AMTlaunched three new exam-based certifications: , , and .

“I am proud to have had the privilege of helping lead AMTas it continues its work to assure that patients are being diagnosed and treated by allied health professionals whose competence has been promoted, assessed, and recognized by way of our certification and education programs.” said Damon.

Recently, the AMTBoard of Directors unanimously voted to appoint current Deputy Executive Director Kathy Cilia to be 色中色app’s new Executive Director effective November 1, 2021.
